Extrusion Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Extrusion Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations in the extrusion department. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality extruded products by overseeing daily processes, managing team members, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical knowledge, factory experience, and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate all activities on the extrusion line to ensure smooth and efficient production flow
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operators and technicians, fostering a safety-first culture and high performance
• Monitor production processes using measuring instruments and technical drawings to ensure specifications are met
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, tools, and equipment, including forklifts and power tools, to maintain optimal operation
• Interpret manufacturing documents such as work orders, process instructions, and quality standards to uphold product integrity
• Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve safety standards
• Enforce safety protocols in line with industry standards, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations during heavy lifting, manual handling, and mechanical assembly tasks

Skills

• Extensive factory experience with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly line operations
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, production documents, and measurement data
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on skills using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Experience managing production or assembly teams within a manufacturing facility environment
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings, including heavy lifting and manual handling procedures
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques aimed at process improvement and waste reduction
• Warehouse experience with forklift operation certification preferred but not required
• Ability to utilize technical proficiency for troubleshooting machinery issues and implementing maintenance procedures
