Eyewear Designer

About the role

Lenskart is a fast-growing eyewear company with a global footprint, including OWNDAYS in Japan. We are looking for an Eyewear Designer to lead our optical and sunglasses collections, someone with sharp aesthetic instincts and the commercial sense to turn trends into products customers love and buy. You will work end to end, from the first sketch to the finished frame on the shelf.

What you will do

• Design seasonal and core collections (optical and sunglasses) aligned with brand strategy
• Turn trend insights, consumer behavior and market research into commercially viable designs
• Create sketches, CADs and 3D models for new concepts
• Partner with product development, sourcing and manufacturing to ensure feasibility and quality
• Lead prototyping, sampling and iteration cycles
• Choose materials, colors and finishes in line with brand guidelines
• Work with merchandising and marketing on product storytelling and launches
• Track global eyewear, fashion and material trends
• Own timelines so every collection lands on time

What you bring

• 5+ years in eyewear or accessories design (sunglasses / optical preferred)
• A strong portfolio showing range across styles, materials and concepts
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and 3D/CAD tools (Rhino, SolidWorks or similar)
• Solid knowledge of eyewear construction, materials (acetate, metal, TR90) and manufacturing
• A strong eye for color and form, balanced with commercial thinking
• Experience working with domestic and international vendors and manufacturers
