After last box of product has passed scale then account for all remaining patties and place them on a stationary belt to be placed in a rework tub for holdover purposes
Then turn off all machinery: full and empty box conveyor, hi-speed scale and case sealer machine

Verification of Box Weights
Weighing Procedures Allow full container to pass freely onto scale
Allow it to clear all sensors to then display a number on the connecting scale head
Read and verify the number displayed on scale head
Correction of weight according to number displayed One of two numbers will be displayed on the scale head either a positive (+) number or negative (-) number and also a number such as 00 (meaning no correction is needed)
In case of negative (-) number displayed, meaning not enough patties are in the box to reach the desired weight, it is the operator’s job to then add the required amount of patties to correct the box weight. For example, -03 means to add three (3) patties to the box
In case of positive (+) number displayed, meaning too many patties are in the box, the operator must remove the number displayed from the box. For example, +03 means to subtract three (3) patties from the box
If over adjustments are necessary to be made then set box aside, make adjustments then re-weigh the box. If this scenario continues then notify the supervisor or lead person so that they can communicate with packers to make needed adjustments
Preparing boxes for case sealer (tape machine) Make sure patties are spread evenly on top layer. This action assures the box will be flat at the top when completely sealed
