F5 security Engineer& Secops (Tier2)

We are looking for an experienced F5 Security Engineer / SecOps (Tier 2) to join the Cyber Security Division of the Israel Airports Authority.

The Israel Airports Authority is responsible for the management and operation of Israel’s civilian airports and border crossings. The Authority works to ensure the continuous, safe, and secure movement of passengers and goods, while maintaining the highest standards of security and safety.

This is a hands-on, F5-focused role within a large enterprise environment, with primary responsibility for the implementation, operation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of F5 LTM, ASM, and APM solutions.

The role also includes the operation and maintenance of the organization’s Cyber Security infrastructure, implementation of new security solutions, system hardening, resilience testing, and ongoing security improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement, configure, operate, and maintain F5 LTM, ASM, and APM solutions.
• Operate and maintain Cyber Security systems, including log analysis, monitoring, configuration, and connectivity checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Cyber Security and network security systems, including root-cause analysis and follow-up through resolution.
• Manage configuration changes and system settings in accordance with Information Security requirements and organizational policies.
• Perform system hardening and security resilience activities.
• Monitor system health, availability, performance, and security.
• Participate in Cyber Security projects from the planning and design stages through implementation and deployment.
• Identify and initiate solutions to maximize the capabilities and value of existing security technologies.
• Prepare technical documentation and procedures as required.
• Work with external vendors and service providers for troubleshooting, technical support, maintenance, and installations.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot issues in the field when required.
• Perform activities aimed at preventing, identifying, and detecting anomalies and security-related issues.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting processes, configurations, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Cyber Security, Networking, Infrastructure, Application, and IT teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with F5 technologies, including LTM, ASM, and APM.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cyber Security infrastructure in an enterprise environment with 1,000+ users.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in Information Security, security systems, data communications, and operating systems.
• Strong networking knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills, including the OSI 7-layer model, routing protocols, subnetting, and traffic prioritization.
• Hands-on experience managing and maintaining at least two of the following technologies: EDR, SASE, MDM, IPS, NAC, NGFW.
• Experience with system hardening, security configuration, monitoring, and log analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to provide on-site support when required.
