Knitted Fabric Cutting In-Charge – Job Description

Position: Knitted Fabric Cutting In-Charge
Department: Cutting
Industry: Garments / Apparel Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily knitted fabric cutting operations.
• Plan cutting schedules according to production requirements and delivery targets.
• Ensure accurate fabric spreading, cutting, numbering, bundling, and feeding to the sewing department.
• Monitor fabric consumption, marker efficiency, and minimize fabric wastage.
• Ensure cutting is carried out according to approved markers, patterns, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with CAD, Production, Merchandising, Fabric Store, and Quality departments.
• Check fabric width, shrinkage, shade, GSM, and other relevant specifications before cutting.
• Maintain proper records of fabric issued, consumed, wastage, and cut quantities.
• Ensure proper identification and segregation of different fabric lots and shades.
• Supervise cutting staff and allocate duties according to production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized cutting area.
• Identify and resolve cutting-related issues to avoid production delays and quality problems.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
• Prepare daily cutting and production reports for management.
• Ensure timely completion of cutting plans as per production targets.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Relevant experience in knitted garment fabric cutting.
• Strong knowledge of fabric spreading, cutting, marker planning, and fabric utilization.
• Good understanding of knitted fabric characteristics, shrinkage, and shade variation.
• Leadership and team-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and production reporting is preferred.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
