Fabric Inspector

I. JOB SUMMARY

Check and inspect all kinds of fabric delivered. Record all fabric defects in the Fabric Inspection Report (FIR) and submit to MCC-Manager.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receive work assignments from Assistant Supervisor (Supplied by Inventory Controller).

2. Prepare fabric for inspection based on Tally Sheet.

3. Inspect fabric according to standard Material Inspection Procedure. Refer to memo dated June 26, 2001 (Revised) Reference #________.

4. Then proceeded to Inspection Proper:

a) Write down all kinds of defects and other information found out in the fabric; including usable width of material using the Material Inspection Check list (MIC) and summarized in the Fabric Inspection Report (FIR).

b) Random checking of measurement on fabrics delivered (both in length or in weight), to check the accuracy of the content per roll / pack.

Note: All reports from Material Inspector will be reported to MCC-Mgr. for “checking and evaluation of the reports” if it conforms to the set quality standards. This will be the basis for Supplier’s evaluation.

5. All inspected fabrics will be properly packed and be piled to the designated places.

6. Assist Supplier’s representative in re-inspection of defective fabrics.

7. Prepare fabric for Outsource in exact quantity given by Inventory Controller. For “yard goods print & cloth to cloth lamination”.

8. Assist in any activities in the Warehouse-Fabric as may be required in case of lack of personnel.

9. Maintain the orderliness & cleanliness of the facilities and in the work place, before & after work.

10. Ensure compliance to all work procedures, and other company S.O.P.
