Spreader/Cutter

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:15 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Spreader/Cutter to join a textile and apparel production team. This position involves operating industrial spreading and cutting equipment to lay fabric in flat, even layers and cut materials into specific pattern pieces used in garment production. The ideal candidate is hands-on, follows instructions carefully, and maintains accuracy and quality throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial fabric spreading and cutting equipment.
• Spread rolls of textile material into flat, even layers for cutting.
• Cut fabric according to specified patterns, measurements, and production requirements.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure pieces meet quality standards.
• Monitor equipment during operation and report mechanical issues or production concerns.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Follow production schedules, safety procedures, and quality guidelines.
• Handle fabric and materials carefully to minimize waste and maintain consistency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in textile manufacturing, fabric cutting, apparel production, or machine operation is preferred.
• Ability to follow patterns, measurements, and detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.
• Willingness to learn equipment and production procedures.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:15 AM–5:00 PM.
• Workweek: Four 10-hour shifts, with an unpaid meal break as applicable.
