Fabrication Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review IFC drawings, fabrication drawings, BOQ and project specifications.
• Plan and coordinate fabrication activities according to the approved production schedule.
• Prepare material requirements and coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability.
• Monitor cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, drilling, assembly, blasting and painting activities.
• Allocate manpower, machinery and materials to achieve daily production targets.
• Coordinate with Design, Planning, QA/QC, Procurement, Production and Project teams.
• Ensure fabrication is completed as per approved drawings, welding procedures and quality standards.
• Raise technical queries and resolve drawing or material discrepancies before production.
• Monitor material utilization and control scrap, wastage and rework.
• Coordinate inspections, dimensional checks, NDT requirements and NCR closure with QA/QC.
• Maintain proper identification, traceability and documentation of fabricated items.
• Prepare daily production reports and update progress against the delivery schedule.
• Coordinate packing, dispatch and delivery of completed materials to project sites.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, housekeeping and safe working practices.
• Support continuous improvement in productivity, quality and cost control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE/GCC experience in structural steel or metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes and workshop operations.
• Experience in structural steel items such as warehouses, platforms, staircases, handrails, canopies, mezzanines, pipe supports and miscellaneous metal works.
• Ability to use AutoCAD, MS Office and production planning tools.
• Good communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates available in the UAE for an in-person interview will be preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
