Job Description – Fabrication Engineer

Industry: Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3+ Years
Industry Experience: PEB industry experience is mandatory

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor daily fabrication activities as per production schedules.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Handle fabrication processes for PEB structures, including cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with production, quality, design, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor manpower productivity, machine utilization, and material consumption.
• Ensure fabrication quality as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Identify fabrication defects and coordinate corrective actions to minimize rework.
• Ensure proper utilization of raw materials and reduce material wastage.
• Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of fabrication work.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and housekeeping requirements.
• Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, and fabrication progress records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of PEB fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication machinery, and quality standards.
• Production planning, manpower handling, and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the PEB industry.
• Practical experience in fabrication and production operations is preferred.
• Candidates with strong shop-floor management and technical knowledge will be preferred.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
