Fabrication Helper / General Worker

About the Role

Assist the fabrication and production team in carrying out cutting, surface preparation, assembly and general fabrication activities. The role supports welders, fabricators and machine operators to ensure production work is completed safely, efficiently and according to work instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist welders and fabricators with daily fabrication activities.
• Perform surface preparation, including grinding, cleaning, deburring and removal of rust, paint or contaminants.
• Assist with oxy-fuel cutting under the direction of a competent/supervised worker.
• Prepare and move steel, aluminium and other fabrication materials.
• Assist in fit-up and assembly of fabricated components.
• Hold, position and secure materials during welding and fabrication activities.
• Assist with measuring, marking and basic preparation of materials.
• Perform grinding, drilling and other basic fabrication support activities when instructed.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials.
• Follow company SOPs, PPE requirements and safety procedures at all times.
• Carry out other reasonable production-related duties assigned by the Supervisor.

About You

• Minimum SPM / SKM / equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, construction or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience with grinding, cutting or fabrication tools is an advantage.
• Willing to learn welding, oxy-cutting and fabrication skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a factory/workshop environment.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Disciplined, responsible and able to work as part of a team.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
