Fabrication Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Fabrication Manager to join our growing Production team at our state-of-the-art facility in Billericay.

About the role

You’ll lead our workshop fabrication team, overseeing projects from drawings through to completion and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and developing the fabrication department including training new staff.
• Planning workshop resources, materials and production schedules
• Ensuring projects meet quality, technical and structural requirements
• Reading drawings, consulting on build methods and flagging design issues
• Maintaining high Health & Safety, PPE and workshop standards
• Managing workshop equipment, materials and processes
• Working closely with Production Managers and the Head of Construction
• Improving workshop processes and efficiency
• Supporting site installations and leading weekend management

About you

You’ll have:

• Proven experience in fabrication or workshop management
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, materials and workshop equipment
• Experience leading and developing a team
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Comfortable reading drawings in drafted in AutoCAD
• A good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
• The ability to work calmly and effectively to tight deadlines
