FABRICATION PLANNER – STRUCTURAL STEEL / ERSS

About the role

This role involves preparing daily, weekly and monthly fabrication schedules based on project requirements and site priorities, coordinating with multiple teams on fabrication requirements, and monitoring workshop production progress against planned schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fabrication schedules based on project requirements and site priorities
• Coordinate with Project, Technical/Design, Procurement, Store and Fabrication teams on fabrication requirements
• Review approved drawings, material lists and fabrication quantities before releasing fabrication work orders
• Plan fabrication sequences for ERSS struts, walers, beams, frames, platforms and temporary steel structures
• Monitor workshop production progress against planned schedules and identify potential delays
• Coordinate with Store and Procurement to ensure materials are available for fabrication
• Monitor manpower, machinery and workshop capacity and adjust production plans accordingly
• Track completed, ongoing and pending fabrication works and prepare production reports
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and ensure fabricated items are ready for site delivery
• Coordinate with Logistics for timely delivery of fabricated steel components to project sites

About you

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related discipline preferred
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in fabrication planning, structural steel, construction or workshop operations
• Experience in ERSS / temporary works / structural steel fabrication will be an advantage
• Able to read and understand structural and fabrication drawings
• Good knowledge of steel fabrication processes including cutting, welding, drilling and assembly
• Strong planning, coordination and follow-up skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production planning/reporting tools
• Able to manage multiple project priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
