Fabrication Supervisor

Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Department: Fabrication Division
Reports To: Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

· Convert ERP production orders and weekly plans into daily manpower, machine and material priorities.

· Conduct daily start-up briefing covering output target, quality risks, safety hazards, drawing revisions, bottlenecks and previous-day losses.

· Ensure only latest approved drawings, BOMs, welding instructions, fixtures, gauges and process parameters are used.

· Control cutting, bending/forming, fitting, welding, grinding, drilling, straightening and fabrication-related operations within approved capability.

· Perform first-piece / first-off verification with QA or authorized personnel before batch continuation where required.

· Monitor hourly/daily production output, WIP, downtime, rework, scrap and manpower efficiency; escalate abnormalities promptly.

· Ensure ERP transactions, material issue/return, production completion, rejection and WIP status are accurate and timely.

· Maintain traceability of critical materials and fabricated components according to work order, batch/heat/lot requirements when applicable.

· Enforce welding quality, dimensional control, workmanship standards, visual acceptance and proper use of calibrated measuring equipment.

· Lead containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions for fabrication defects, customer/internal complaints and recurring process losses.

· Coordinate preventive maintenance, machine checks, consumables and tooling readiness with Maintenance and Warehouse.

· Ensure 5S, PPE, machine guarding, hot-work control, lifting safety, compressed gas safety and housekeeping compliance.

· Train and qualify operators to standard work; maintain skills matrix, cross-training plan and competency records.
