We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Fabrication Trade Assistant to join our client's busy workshop in Welshpool.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, practical hands-on skills and previous workshop or manufacturing experience. You’ll be working alongside experienced Boilermakers and supporting the team across fabrication and general workshop duties.

About the Role

As a Fabrication Trade Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to the workshop team, assisting Boilermakers and helping ensure materials, tools and equipment are ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Boilermakers with general workshop and fabrication duties
• Sentry duties and forklift operations where appropriately ticketed
• Regular material handling and movement of materials
• Cleaning and lubricating assembled parts
• Operating a range of hand and power tools
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a workshop, fabrication or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Previous experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to perform regular manual/material handling duties
• Ability to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen
• Forklift ticket is beneficial
• Strong safety awareness and a reliable work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
