Location: Canning Vale, WA - relocating to Rockingham in early 2027

Salary: $56.25 per hour + penalties

About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation with over 50 years of experience designing and manufacturing specialised drilling equipment and components. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and reliability, they supply high-quality products to clients across the mining and resources sector.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their busy workshop team.

Please note: The business will relocate to the Rockingham area in early 2027, so applicants must be willing to relocate or already live within a reasonable distance of the new site.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a supportive workshop environment, working Monday to Friday with overtime available.

Key responsibilities:

• Welding and fabricating specialised drilling equipment and components
• Welding on rotators using solid MIG wire
• Producing high-quality, continuous welds to required standards
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Working to required tolerances and quality standards
• Completing work orders and recording time accurately
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Working collaboratively with team leaders, engineering and other departments
• Assisting with other workshop duties as required

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication
• Experience welding on rotators using solid MIG wire
• Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
• Experience welding to AS1554 standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with OEM drill rigs or drilling equipment components (highly desirable)
• Strong safety awareness and a reliable, proactive approach
• Ability to pass a DAS and pre-employment medical
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Willingness to relocate to Rockingham or live within a reasonable distance of the new site
