Experienced in structural steel fabrication and confident on the MIG?

We’re looking for a skilled Fabricator Welder for an immediate start in a busy Patumahoe workshop.
You’ll be working on quality structural steel projects, with a solid hourly rate based on your experience and current welding tickets.

Location: Patumahoe, Auckland
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $35–$37 per hour depending on experience | Weekly pay

About the Role

You’ll be fabricating, fitting and MIG welding structural steel components from engineering drawings, including 200–230mm Parallel Flange Channel (PFC).
This is a hands-on workshop role for an experienced Fabricator Welder who can work accurately from drawings, produce quality welds and get stuck in from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

• MIG welding and structural steel fabrication
• Working with 200–230mm PFC
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling steel components
• Producing accurate work to a high standard
• Working safely as part of the workshop team

What We’re Looking For

• Proven structural steel fabrication and welding experience
• Strong MIG welding skills
• Current welding tickets relevant to MIG and structural steel fabrication
• Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a workshop team
• Strong commitment to safe working practices
