Fabricator/Welder

About the role

This role involves performing high-quality welding (MIG/TIG/Arc depending on project needs) and structural/light metal fabrication, as well as applying protective coatings, primers, and industrial paint to ensure long-term corrosion resistance. You will prep metal surfaces for finishing and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding (MIG/TIG/Arc depending on project needs) and structural/light metal fabrication
• Prep metal surfaces for finishing (grinding, cleaning, stripping rust or scale)
• Apply protective coatings, primers, and industrial paint (spray or brush/roller) to ensure long-term corrosion resistance
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• 3 months contract, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About you

• Proven experience in both metal welding/fabrication and structural painting
• Welding certifications or relevant trade qualifications
• Solid understanding of paint preparation, mixing, and application techniques
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet tight project deadlines
• Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper ventilation and PPE usage for painting and welding
