Faade Design Engineer Louvers / Architectural Metal Systems

Purpose of the Role

To develop and detail louver, ceiling, screen, and related architectural metal systems while supporting customized louver requirements and future-ready system detailing.

Job Description

• Prepare detailed drawings and assemblies for louvers and other architectural metal products.
• Support custom-order louver design and development.
• Work on fixing systems, spans, mounting details, brackets, and installation requirements.
• Develop practical and manufacturable design solutions.
• Coordinate with testing, production, prototype, and other technical teams.
• Review and refine designs based on testing, production feedback, and installation requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing, documentation, and revision control.

Required Skill Set

• Understanding of sheet metal and aluminium profiles
• Basic knowledge of faade detailing
• Fixing and bracket detailing
• AutoCAD / CAD drawing skills
• Understanding of tolerances and assemblies
• Good structural understanding and practical engineering sense
• Awareness of weather exposure and installation requirements
• Understanding of fabrication and manufacturability
• STAAD.Pro knowledge will be preferred
