Facade Designer

The Client and overview of the Role:

My Client are one of Ireland's leading uPVC and aluminium windows, doors and curtain wall systems. They are well-established and work with some of the major names in Residential and Commercial Construction here in Ireland.

Due several contract wins and an extended period of growth this business are looking for another 1 or 2 Facade Designers to join their team.

This is a family-run business that are keen on developing their employees and giving them plenty of opportunity to learn, earn and progress over time.

In addition to producing technical drawings, you will support the engineering process by reviewing structural and thermal calculations, preparing technical submittals, and participating in design meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Produce technical drawings and fabrication details for uPVC and aluminum windows, doors, and curtain wall systems.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop facade solutions.
• Review and incorporate structural and thermal calculations into design work.
• Prepare technical submittals for design team approval.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design intent and buildability.
• Maintain compliance with relevant building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or site conditions.
• Support the project team during tendering, construction, and installation phases as required.
• Ensure timely delivery of all design documentation.

Requirements:

• Enjoy working as part of a team.

• Proven experience in facade design, specifically with uPVC and aluminum systems.
• Solid understanding of facade detailing, fabrication processes and construction principles.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
