Façade Site Manager — Ashford, Kent
£250–£280 per day (CIS, self-employed), depending on experience

ANTVIC is looking for an experienced Façade Site Manager to take day-to-day control of the external envelope package on a four-block residential development in Ashford, Kent.

This is the full façade scope rather than a single trade. Curtain walling, aluminium doors, rainscreen and aluminium panel cladding, copings and flashings, metal railings and balustrades, and all the interfaces in between. We want someone who has run all of it together and knows where a façade package usually comes unstuck — the survey, the setting out, the brackets, and the handover from the main build.

What you'll be responsible for

• Running the façade works on site: sequencing, labour allocation, short-term programming, and keeping installation tracking against the main build programme
• Managing installation gangs and specialist subcontractors, and checking their output against approved drawings and system specifications
• Surveys, setting out and tolerance checks before materials are ordered or installed
• Quality control across the package: inspections, snagging, sign-off, and making sure what goes up matches what was specified
• Health and safety on the package: RAMS, permits, working at height, lifting operations, MEWP use and temporary works
• Deliveries, offloading, storage and material call-offs, so gangs aren't stood waiting
• Acting as the site point of contact for our design team, the client and the consultant team, with site records, progress reports and photographic evidence to back it up

What we're looking for

• Site management experience on façade or building envelope packages — curtain walling, windows and doors, rainscreen or aluminium cladding, copings, balustrades and railings
• Confident reading and interrogating façade fabrication and installation drawings
• SMSTS and a valid CSCS card (essential)
• First Aid at Work, IPAF or Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable)
• Working knowledge of façade-related building regulations — fire stopping, cavity barriers, Part B (desirable)
• Own transport and the ability to get to Ashford reliably

Beyond the tickets, we want someone who manages rather than watches. Someone who spots a bracket line drifting before it becomes rework, who chases a late delivery instead of logging it as a delay, and who can be straight with a client when something has gone wrong.

What we offer

Full ownership of the façade package, Payments are made fortnightly against approved timesheets. Rate reviewed after the first three months and continuing work on further ANTVIC projects for the right person. Rate reviewed after the first three months.
