Role Description The Facets Developer will work on-site in Seattle, WA in a contract capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of solutions built on the Facets healthcare platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and customizing Facets modules, implementing integrations with internal and external systems, and optimizing workflows for claims processing, membership, billing, and provider management. The role involves analyzing business and technical requirements, writing and reviewing technical specifications, and developing, testing, and deploying Facets-based enhancements and fixes. The Facets Developer will collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and compliant with healthcare regulations. The position also includes troubleshooting production issues, performing performance tuning, and supporting release and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with the Facets healthcare platform, including configuration, customization, and support of core modules (e.g., claims, membership, billing, provider).
• Proficiency in relevant programming and scripting languages and tools commonly used with Facets (such as .NET, SQL, stored procedures, ETL tools, and integration frameworks).
• Solid understanding of healthcare payer operations, data models, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, EDI transactions, benefits, authorizations, and eligibility).
• Skills in analysis, solution design, and documentation, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and test cases.
• Experience with system integration, APIs, and data exchange between Facets and external systems, plus familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, cross-functional team environment, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage workload in a contract setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in health insurance or healthcare technology is highly beneficial.
