Facilities & Construction Manager

Milbrew Holdings | 7 Brew Coffee

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Area
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Commensurate with experience, plus potential performance-based bonus

About Milbrew Holdings

Milbrew Holdings is a rapidly growing franchise operator of 7 Brew Coffee, overseeing the development, construction, and operation of locations throughout Wisconsin and the Kansas City market. We operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong sense of urgency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality facilities that support our operations and customer experience. As our portfolio continues to expand, we're looking for a resourceful, motivated professional to help manage our existing facilities and oversee the construction of new locations.

Position Overview

This position combines facilities maintenance management with new-store construction oversight. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues, coordinate third-party service providers, implement preventative maintenance programs, and help ensure new construction projects remain on schedule.

The role is approximately 50% facilities management and 50% construction management, with responsibilities evolving based on the company's development pipeline.

We're looking for a self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership, solving problems, and making decisions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate has commercial construction or facilities management experience, established relationships with local contractors and trades, and the organizational skills necessary to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision.

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in a growing organization while helping establish the systems and processes that will support our continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management

  • Oversee maintenance requests across operating locations, ensuring issues are prioritized, tracked, and resolved.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water filtration, and other building systems.
  • Coordinate contractors, service providers, recurring maintenance agreements, and emergency repairs and after-hours maintenance as needed.
  • Manage vendor performance, warranties, service schedules, and maintenance expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, prevent recurring issues, and minimize equipment downtime.

Construction Management

  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout new-store construction.
  • Monitor construction schedules, project milestones, workmanship, and potential delays.
  • Conduct regular site visits and participate in construction progress meetings.
  • Hold contractors accountable for deadlines, quality standards, and project commitments.
  • Coordinate punch lists, final inspections, warranties, project closeout, and turnover to operations.

Vendor & Operational Support

  • Build and maintain relationships with reliable local contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers.
  • Review service proposals, coordinate vendor selection, and manage recurring service contracts.
  • Establish organized systems for tracking maintenance requests, construction progress, and outstanding issues.
  • Communicate project updates and important issues to company leadership while independently managing daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, facilities management, commercial property management, or construction supervision.
  • Working knowledge of commercial building systems and general maintenance.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, or third-party service providers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to stores and construction sites throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ground-up commercial construction or multi-site facilities management.
  • Established relationships with local contractors and skilled trades.
  • Experience managing construction schedules, punch lists, warranties, and project closeout.
  • Background in restaurant, retail, or other multi-location commercial operations.

A college degree is not required. Relevant experience, practical knowledge, and a strong work ethic are valued most.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, anticipates problems, and follows through on solutions. The right person is comfortable working in the field, building contractor relationships, managing competing priorities, and making sound decisions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Base salary of $65,000-$85,000 based on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
  • Mileage reimbursement for business-related travel.
  • Milwaukee-area office-based position with regular visits to operating stores and construction sites, generally one to two days per week.
  • Primarily standard business hours, with occasional availability for urgent facilities issues.

Why Join Milbrew Holdings?

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on a growing business while working closely with company leadership. You'll have ownership over both existing operations and new development projects, with the opportunity to build processes, improve efficiency, and help shape the company's continued expansion.
