Facilities & Maintenance Engineer

Company: A US manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, specializing in automation and motion control solutions. Its products include linear motion systems, linear actuators, micro-stepper motors, and precision motor drives.

Combined Scope: Handles both Building Facilities (managing service vendors/SLA contracts) and Equipment/Machine Maintenance (hands-on mechanical maintenance).

We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, with a focus on production equipment rather than facilities and critical utilities management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Facilities & Maintenance team, including technicians and maintenance activities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and factory facilities to ensure reliability, safety, and minimal downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production machinery and facility systems.
• Investigate recurring equipment breakdowns and implement root cause and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, and supplier coordination to support timely repairs.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
• Lead equipment, facility, and process improvement projects to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and local safety/environmental regulations.
• Support FMEA, SPC, APQP and PPAP activities where required.
• Maintain plant layout and engineering documentation, including AutoCAD updates.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in Maintenance / Process Engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FMEA, and SPC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Able to work independently and support after-hours maintenance when required.
• AutoCAD experience is an advantage.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and engineering decision-making.
