Facilities & Maintenance Junior Engineer

About the role

A Facilities & Maintenance Junior Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and management of building maintenance, utility systems, and production support equipment and responsible for all document control within Maintenance department.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect damaged equipment and carry out repairs or replace parts, including checking the quality of repair work to meet standards
• Evaluate and take action to reduce the risk of failure of equipment or systems that may affect the operation and safety of the building or location
• Control and check appropriate contractors for repair and maintenance work, and follow up on work results
• Prepare and control budgets for maintenance and repair of equipment and various facilities in accordance with the approved budget
• Supervise and control maintenance to meet safety standards, such as the use of personal protective equipment and dealing with potential hazards during repairs or maintenance
• Find new methods and technologies to improve the maintenance process to be more efficient and cost-effective and design to improve the production process
• Coordinate with other departments such as the production department, resource management department, Purchasing department or environment department to ensure that maintenance goes smoothly
• Prepare maintenance and repair summary reports, including maintenance records according to the plan to provide information for tracking and improving the process
• Oversee the management of spare parts and materials stock used for maintenance, ensuring that necessary spare parts or materials are always available
• Manage all document control within MT department, such as PR, Certification of NGV or other, and support ISO Systems: WI, KPI

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering fields
• 0-3 years experience in the field of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance in factory
• Able to read and write English well
• Highly responsible
• Capable of designing and drafting
• Proficient in the operation of electrical systems, boilers, and ovens
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude
• Focus on safety and participate in the donning of safety equipment
• Capable of resolving issues in the event of an emergency at all times

Work Environment & Physical Demands

A Facility and Maintenance Engineer oversee equipment, infrastructure, and facility maintenance in both office and industrial environments. The role involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and handling emergency repairs. They work in dynamic conditions, often facing noise, temperature variations, and on-call responsibilities. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential to minimize downtime and optimize operations.

Must walk, stand, and inspect equipment in industrial settings, often in noisy or extreme temperatures. Some lifting, bending, or working in confined spaces may be required. Endurance and adaptability are essential for handling maintenance tasks and emergencies.
