Centered on The Habitat Penang Hill, a B Corp-certified rainforest park, the group focuses on biodiversity restoration, education, and supporting the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme.

Position Overview

Keep trails, structures, and facilities at the park (800m above sea level) safe, operational, and well maintained.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Team leadership: Lead, schedule, and assign daily tasks, check performance, and enforce safety compliance and safe handling practices.
• Compliance & document review: Vet vendor documents (quotations, BQ, QS reports, permits, insurance and liability cover) and reinforce safety SOPs for the team.
• Project Management: Plan projects, monitor execution, manage risk and quality, and keep stakeholders updated.
• Preventive maintenance: Schedule maintenance and keep logs and inspection records.
• Facilities upkeep: Maintain structures, trails, lighting, solar system, lightning, signage, sewerage, and M&E system, etc.
• Inventory & equipment: Manage tools, materials, and spare parts, including storage and upkeep, and keep emergency systems ready.
• Contractor supervision: Monitor QC/QA, and verify work quality and timelines.
• Team supervision: Assign tasks, guide technicians, check performance, and enforce safety compliance.

Years of Experiences

• Relevant Diploma/Degree with minimum 5 years’ experience
• Hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building works
• Strong documentation discipline and organised compliance records
• Calm under pressure; able to brief teams, manage contractors, and report to management.
