Facilities and Yard Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities and Yard Maintenance Technician to support our facilities and keep our buildings, yards and equipment safe, clean, organized and ready for daily operations.

What You’ll Do

• Remove snow from both parking lots, overhead door areas, shipping and receiving areas, and access routes, starting early when required to clear priority areas before employees arrive.
• Apply ice melt at entrances and traction material in the lots, and coordinate snow piling to maintain access and visibility.
• Operate the skid steer safely and complete routine equipment checks.
• Keep yards and designated storage areas organized, including steel racks, pallets and bins inside and outside the buildings.
• Coordinate scrap metal collection and removal.
• Maintain the inspection and maintenance log for buildings and equipment, arrange inspections, servicing and repairs according to the established schedule, and advise management of upcoming requirements and outstanding issues.
• Maintain grounds through grass cutting, weed control and outdoor cleanup.
• Empty garbage and waste bins, assist with moving equipment, and support general facility housekeeping.
• Complete safety inspections, correct hazards within your training and authority, and report issues requiring further action.

What You Bring

• Experience in facilities maintenance, yard operations, groundskeeping or a similar hands-on role.
• Experience operating a skid steer and performing snow removal.
• Practical mechanical skills and familiarity with routine equipment maintenance.
• The ability to organize tasks, work independently and respond to changing priorities.
• A strong commitment to safety and good housekeeping.
• The ability to perform physical work safely, including lifting, carrying, bending and working outdoors in varying weather.
• Availability for early starts during snowfall or icy conditions.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment would be an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
