Overview:

The purpose of the Facilities Cleaner role is to maintain a clean, hygienic and safe working environment across our offices, walkways and communal areas. By carrying out daily cleaning duties to a consistently high standard, the role supports the wellbeing of employees and helps create a professional and welcoming environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• ·Clean and sanitise offices, desks, meeting rooms and reception areas to a consistently high standard.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum walkways and corridors, ensuring they remain clean, tidy and safe.
• Clean and maintain kitchens, break rooms and toilets, replenishing essential supplies as required.
• Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly and maintain designated recycling points.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, damage or potential hazards to the Facilities Manager.

Skills & Competencies

• High standards of cleanliness with strong attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the correct use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage tasks independently.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude and the flexibility to support changing operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment is desirable.
• Experience of using cleaning products, materials and equipment safely and effectively.
• A basic understanding of workplace health and safety and safe cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of COSHH requirements is desirable, although training can be provided.
• No formal qualifications are essential; relevant cleaning or health and safety training would be an advantage.
