Professional Job Description

We are seeking a Facilities Consultant to provide specialist advice and support for the development of new hangars and base maintenance facilities. You will work closely with the client project team, stakeholders, contractors, and authorities to plan, coordinate, and deliver facilities that meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate facilities development for new hangars, workshops, warehouses, stores, and offices.
• Develop functional layouts and technical requirements in collaboration with the project team.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, consultants, insurers, and regulatory authorities.
• Support tender evaluations, technical specifications, and procurement of specialised equipment and engineering services.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of major engineering systems and specialised equipment.
• Assist in defining facilities organisation structure, operating procedures, maintenance schedules, and as-built documentation.
• Provide technical advice on cost management, value engineering, and operational readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in construction & engineering project management; experience in MRO Hangar / Aerospace Park design or construction preferred.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of large-span structural systems, hangar fire protection, specialised engineering equipment (e.g., teleplatform, pneumatic systems), and cost/value engineering.
• Soft Skills: Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
• Other: Willingness to be based overseas (e.g., India) for periods of 6 months or more if required.
