Facilities Coordinator

As an advanced manufacturing and industrialisation hub, Baseyard supports customers throughout the product lifecycle, from engineering and prototyping to industrialisation, serial production, supply chain management, testing, and global delivery.

As Baseyard's Facilities coordinator, you will keep our advanced manufacturing facility in Braga safe, running and ready for production, and help it grow as the company scales its defence and dual use operations.

What you will do

• Run daily facility operations across production areas, offices, warehouses and laboratories.
• Manage utilities and building systems: electricity, HVAC, water, compressed air, ventilation and fire protection.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and handle emergency repairs.
• Manage contractors and suppliers, including maintenance, cleaning, security and waste management.
• Prepare spaces for new equipment installation, layout changes, fit outs and expansion.
• Support QHSE, security and access control, audits and inspections.
• Keep facility documentation, maintenance records and costs under control, and monitor energy use.

Who you will work with

• Plant Manager: your main point of reference for priorities, facility readiness and expansion plans.
• Production and Engineering: you will align on layout changes, equipment installation and minimising downtime.
• QHSE: you will work together on workplace safety, fire safety, emergency preparedness and environmental compliance.
• IT and Security: you will coordinate on technical infrastructure, access control and restricted areas.
• Procurement: you will source facility services, spare parts, materials and equipment.
• External partners: you will manage the relationship with the landlord, property management, utilities providers, contractors and authorities.

What you bring

• Experience in facility management or industrial maintenance in a technical environment.
• Hands on knowledge of building systems, HVAC, and electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience managing contractors and ensuring safe work practices.
• A structured, cost conscious approach and the ability to handle urgent issues calmly.
• Comfort building processes from scratch in a fast growing company.
• Good English and Portuguese skills

Nice to have

• A background in aerospace, defence, automotive, electronics or robotics.
• Experience setting up or commissioning industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of CMMS and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100 or AQAP.
• Familiarity with Portuguese regulations and authorities.
