What they need
MAS Law is a well-established law firm with over 25 years of experience serving our clients and community. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Facilities Coordinator for our Richardson office.
This role keeps the office running: managing our equipment and supplies, serving as the on-site liaison for our IT provider, coordinating building vendors, and handling the day-to-day maintenance that keeps a busy workplace safe and functional. The Facilities Coordinator reports to the Director of Business Operations.
Responsibilities
Assets, Supplies, and IT Hardware
- Maintain the firm's asset list for office equipment and IT hardware, including the assignment, location, and condition of each item.
- Set up, relocate, and recover equipment as employees join, move within, or leave the firm.
- Serve as the on-site liaison for the firm's managed IT provider: physically install, swap, and move computers, monitors, printers, phones, and network hardware; handle first-line troubleshooting; and escalate issues beyond basic fixes to the provider and follow them through to resolution.
- Monitor office supply and equipment levels and submit reorder requests, with the opportunity to take on purchasing responsibility as the role develops.
Facilities and Vendors
- Serve as the firm's point of contact for building management, contractors, and facilities vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, pest control, and similar); schedule work, provide access, and confirm it is completed properly and on time.
- Perform minor repairs and handyman work, including furniture assembly, fixture replacement, patching, mounting, and general upkeep.
- Coordinate office moves, workspace reconfigurations, and new-hire workspace setup, including furniture and equipment.
General Office Operations
- Set up conference rooms for meetings, depositions, and events, including seating, displays, and audio/video equipment.
- Manage keys and building access, including issuing and deactivating access for new and departing employees.
- Maintain workplace safety basics: fire extinguisher inspections, first aid supplies, emergency lighting and exit signage, required postings, and evacuation procedures.
- Keep storage areas, equipment rooms, and common areas organized and in good order.
- Assist with special projects and other operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilities, office administration, property management, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Basic handyman and maintenance skills.
- Comfortable with computers and office technology; experience with inventory or asset-tracking systems is a plus.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
- Clear, professional communication with employees and vendors.
- Able to safely lift 50 pounds and move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Available after hours for facilities emergencies.
Benefits
We offer a competitive benefits package, including:
