Facilities Engineer

About the role

Denso Philippines Corporation is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our engineering team in Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, optimizing and ensuring the reliability of our facilities and building systems. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, maintenance and improvement of our physical infrastructure, ensuring that all facilities operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role is strategically important to our operations, as it directly supports our manufacturing and administrative functions, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and oversee routine and preventative maintenance activities for all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facility infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and potential areas for improvement
• Manage emergency maintenance requests and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and operational disruption
• Monitor utility consumption and implement energy efficiency measures to optimize facility operating costs
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and internal facility standards
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance
• Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines
• Develop and implement facility improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety
• Train and supervise maintenance staff and coordinate their daily activities
• Conduct safety audits and develop corrective action plans to address identified hazards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

• Licensed Electrical Engineer

• Relevant experience in facilities maintenance, building systems management or a similar engineering role will be an advantage

• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems maintenance and troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices and methodologies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying and resolving facility-related issues

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and external contractors

• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards applicable to manufacturing facilities

• Experience with energy audits, sustainability initiatives or green building practices is preferred
