Facilities Engineer

Job Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating the operation, maintenance, and repair of building facilities and MEP systems. The role ensures that all equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and building facilities to identify faults and maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and coordinate repair works.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of planned maintenance.
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors and allocate daily maintenance tasks.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, safety, and compliance with approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, inspections, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with clients, building management, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare maintenance reports, quotations, material requests, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor spare-parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required materials.
• Assist with annual maintenance planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or a related Engineering field. Relevant facilities management or maintenance experience.
• Good knowledge of MEP systems and building maintenance.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office is preferred.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

• Driving License (Required)
