- Carry out basic electrical maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs where appropriately qualified.
- Assist with basic plumbing, water supply, drainage, and general building maintenance.
- Carry out repairs, adjustments, and replacements of fixtures, fittings, and general facilities equipment.
- Investigate faults and breakdowns and arrange appropriate repairs or escalation where specialist support is required.
- Support the installation, relocation, replacement, and commissioning of facilities and equipment.
- Assist with setting up new rooms, workspaces, and practice facilities.
- Carry out routine checks to identify potential problems before they become major issues.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and external service providers when specialist work is required.
- Monitor maintenance requirements and ensure issues are followed through to completion.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, repairs, and servicing.
- Support the team with basic technical troubleshooting and facilities-related issues.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Assist with emergency and reactive maintenance when required.
- Travel to different UK locations and dental practices as required.
- Maintain a professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach when working across different sites.
- Carry out other reasonable facilities and maintenance duties required to support the smooth running of the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, property maintenance, building maintenance, maintenance engineering, or a similar hands-on role.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of general building maintenance and repairs.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience carrying out handyman-type maintenance tasks.
- Ability to diagnose problems and identify practical solutions.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple maintenance requests.

- Good IT skills for maintaining service records, communicating with teams, and managing maintenance requests.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation.
- Valid UK or international driving licence and willingness to travel to different sites when required.
