Facilities Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect with a proven track record delivering ICT infrastructure within large construction, redevelopment, facilities, or major capital works programmes.

The successful candidate will provide architecture leadership across network, telecommunications, infrastructure, and digital building systems, while coordinating stakeholders, governing design quality, managing risks, and supporting successful project delivery.

Experience within critical infrastructure or other complex facilities environments is highly desirable.

Some of the following would be highly beneficial:

Broad Infrastructure Architecture Expertise
Experience designing and reviewing solutions across multiple infrastructure domains, including:

• LAN, WAN and wireless networks
• Structured cabling and fibre infrastructure
• Communications rooms and data centre facilities
• Compute, storage, virtualisation and cloud services
• Network security and segmentation
• Telecommunications and carrier services
• Building and clinical technology systems
• Business continuity, resilience and disaster recovery

Construction and Capital Works Experience
Demonstrated experience delivering ICT infrastructure within large construction, redevelopment, or major capital works programmes.
Must be familiar with:

• Developed Design and Detailed Design phases
• Design consultants, contractors and system integrators
• BIM models, room data sheets and equipment schedules
• RFIs, design reviews, technical submissions and design governance
• Construction, commissioning, migration and handover activities

This has the ability to either a 12mth Fixed Term Contract (salary) or it could suit an independent contractor (hourly rate).
