Facilities Maintenance Coordinator (Part Time)

Keep the Systems Running That Help Save Lives

About Maverick Bio

You may not have heard of Maverick Bio before, and that's okay.

We're a proudly Australian biotechnology business with regional roots and global reach. From our facilities in Dubbo, we manufacture and supply specialised biological materials that support life-saving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and research used around the world.

Our people don't just manufacture products—they help improve and save lives.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to help keep our manufacturing facilities safe, reliable and operating at their best.

Why This Role Matters

Our manufacturing operations rely on safe facilities, reliable equipment and well-planned maintenance.

As our Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you'll coordinate maintenance activities that support uninterrupted manufacturing in a highly regulated biotechnology environment.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and external contractors, you'll coordinate preventative maintenance, contractor activities, calibration, compliance and facility services that keep our site operating safely and efficiently.

This isn't just a maintenance role, it's an opportunity to make a genuine contribution to a business whose products improve lives around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll coordinate a broad range of facilities and maintenance activities, including:

  • Coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance across the site.
  • Planning maintenance schedules to minimise disruption to manufacturing.
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining maintenance, calibration and compliance records that are always audit-ready.
  • Supporting equipment qualification and validation activities.
  • Monitoring facility systems, building services and site infrastructure.
  • Coordinating site security, key management and contractor access.
  • Participating in an on-call roster for emergency maintenance support.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.

What Success Looks Like

You'll enjoy this role if you like solving problems, building relationships and making things run better.

You'll be successful if you can:

  • Coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Build trusted relationships across Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain.
  • Respond calmly and effectively when urgent maintenance issues arise.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within a quality-focused environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement that improves equipment reliability.
  • Balance operational priorities with quality, compliance and safety.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines practical maintenance knowledge with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience planning preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar electronic maintenance systems.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience maintaining maintenance and compliance documentation.
  • A current Australian Driver Licence.

Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing or another regulated environment will be highly regarded.

A Flexible Opportunity

This position is offered on a part-time basis (minimum three days per week).

We're committed to finding the right person and understand that flexibility matters. We'll discuss working arrangements with the successful candidate to find an arrangement that works for both you and Maverick.

While we're currently recruiting for a part-time position, there may be an opportunity for the role to grow into a full-time position in the future as the business continues to evolve.
