Facilities Maintenance Engineer Supervisor

Position Overview:

Supervising engineering and technical staff involves planning, coordinating, and guiding teams to ensure maintenance work, repairs, and project tasks meet required standards. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, ensuring equipment efficiency, monitoring work quality and safety, and overseeing the development, performance, and readiness of staff across multiple trades.

This position also serves as the first-line supervisor for the Air Conditioning Team, Electrician Team, and Carpenter Team. The role includes training team leaders in setting priorities of work, evaluating their team members, assessing team leader performance, and ensuring that each trade maintains required certifications and professional development.

Core Responsibilities:

• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work.

• Inspecting equipment and facilities and conducting routine maintenance.

• Responding to customer requests and ensuring service satisfaction.

• Ensures timely response to breakdowns and repairs.

• Directs the diagnosing of equipment malfunctions.

• Supervises the servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.

• Supervising engineering and technical staff, including planning, coordinating repairs, overseeing maintenance activities, and leading teams to achieve goals.

• Leading and motivating staff, scheduling work, managing performance, and supporting staff in meeting departmental objectives.

• Providing direct supervision to the AC, Electrical, and Carpentry trade team leaders, ensuring they receive guidance in organizing workflows, assigning daily tasks, setting priorities, and maintaining consistent work quality.

• Coaching team leaders on evaluating their team members, conducting performance discussions, and maintaining accurate records of staff performance, attendance, and readiness.

• Evaluation the performance of team leaders and providing clear expectations, feedback, and development plans.

• Conducting routine quality control checks to ensure all work meets ISB standards for safety, workmanship, and reliability.

• Ensuring all trade teams maintain required licenses, technical certifications, safety training, and continuing professional development in alignment with current engineering standards.

• Assist in reviewing budgets and cost allocation for maintenance activities and review and compare estimates and quotes for engineering work.

• Maintaining statistical, operational, and financial records related to maintenance and repair work.

• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and ISB safety protocols,

• Creating maintenance procedures, work instructions, forms, and related documents as required.

• Monitoring budget usage, managing spare parts inventory, and planning manpower and equipment needs to support repair and maintenance operations.

Other Responsibilities:

• Any other duty assigned by the Engineer Manager from time to time.

Key Skills:

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic English is necessary. Native Thai Language required.
• Strong technical knowledge related to mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering.
• Problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership skills, teamwork, good attitude, and service-minded approach.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (air conditional system), electrical engineering, or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building, pump, and air conditioning and chiller systems
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as maintenance engineer or in a related field.
• Experience in improvement, preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities.
• Ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams, structural drawings, and MEP system schematics.

Terms of Employment:

• Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Working hours may be flexible due to the need of school and/or as assigned
