Facilities Maintenance Specialist

About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure the peak performance of high-precision manufacturing equipment, specifically focusing on injection molding systems. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and optimizing production efficiency through expert troubleshooting and proactive equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex mold changeovers to support rapid production transitions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems by interpreting technical schematics and manuals.
• Extend the operational lifespan of machinery by performing rigorous preventive maintenance and system cleaning.
• Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to verify component specifications and ensure machine accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.
• Document all repair activities and machine status updates to ensure seamless communication across production shifts.
• Manage the upkeep of critical support infrastructure, including industrial chillers and air compressors.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by formal technical training.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen Bradley or Fanuc control systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
• Must possess a personal set of professional-grade maintenance tools.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience operating forklift equipment in a warehouse or plant setting.
• Direct experience with major injection molding platforms like Husky, Arburg, or Milacron.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends.
