Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our building and equipment. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components.
• Perform repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical systems using hand tools, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical circuits, and mechanical devices to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Carry out welding, carpentry, painting, and other building interior maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics, Ohmmeter readings, and repair logs for future reference.
• Assist with maintenance painting projects and facilities equipment upkeep to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or visitors and communicating clearly about repair status.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong understanding of electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC troubleshooting and servicing.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures, and the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment diagnostics using Ohmmeters or multimeters.
• Ability to read building schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership qualities to guide team members or contractors when needed.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
