  • Own the day-to-day delivery of facilities and maintenance services across Briscoe Group
  • Lead contractor performance, service delivery and operational issue resolution
  • Make an impact through strong cost control, compliance and continuous improvement

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to help keep our store network running safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the National Portfolio & Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance and facilities service delivery across Briscoe Group. You’ll be a key point of escalation for complex or urgent issues, balancing safety, operational impact, service levels and cost.

You’ll also provide day-to-day direction and support to our Facilities & Property Coordinator and help drive improvements across our facilities processes and systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance across our store network, facilities and equipment
  • Prioritising and resolving urgent, complex or high-risk facilities issues based on safety, compliance, operational impact and cost
  • Managing contractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, on time, to the right standard and within agreed costs
  • Building strong relationships with stores, support teams, contractors and suppliers to keep work moving and stakeholders informed
  • Monitoring facilities expenditure, budgets and forecasts, while identifying opportunities to improve value and reduce repeat costs
  • Maintaining accurate facilities records, compliance information, workflows and reporting, and identifying practical process improvements
  • Providing day-to-day direction and support to the Facilities & Property Coordinator, including workload prioritisation and follow-through
  • Supporting after-hours facilities incidents, significant emergencies and wider property initiatives where required

What you’ll bring

You’ll be a practical, solutions-focused facilities professional who can confidently manage competing priorities across multiple locations.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in facilities management, property maintenance, retail operations, contractor management or a related environment
  • Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance across multiple sites
  • Strong working knowledge of contractor health and safety, compliance, NZ Building Code and BWOF requirements
  • Sound commercial judgement and experience managing facilities costs and budgets
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence using facilities management systems, registers and reporting tools
  • Experience providing day-to-day leadership, coaching or workflow support
  • A Diploma in Property and/or Facilities Management, or equivalent experience
