Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our school campus. In this role, you will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems are functioning smoothly to create a safe and efficient environment for students and staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong management skills, technical expertise in facilities systems, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems.
• Oversee the operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations by implementing safety procedures and conducting regular safety audits.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory, and equipment history.
• Lead projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems, electrical wiring—including high voltage and low voltage systems—and plumbing infrastructure to identify issues early.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Microsoft Office tools such as spreadsheets and reports to support operational planning.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or educational setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including voltmeters and ohmmeters), plumbing maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and safety regulations including OSHA standards.
• Ability to operate tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment safely.
• Excellent organizational skills with project management experience for large-scale repairs or upgrades.
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
