This role is responsible for ensuring that all workspaces—including offices, production areas, warehouses, and digital operations spaces—are safe, compliant, and fully functional. Key responsibilities include managing service provider contracts, leading occupational safety programs (OSH) and safety committees, ensuring legal compliance, supervising renovations and capital projects, and addressing day-to-day maintenance concerns. The manager also analyzes facilities data and safety metrics to improve processes and plans, while promoting a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment for everyone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead facility operations to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and safe workspaces across all business sites
  • Oversee building maintenance, scheduling, security, safety, energy management, and sustainability initiatives
  • Plan, implement, and monitor capital projects, operating procedures, and disaster preparedness programs
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Production, Warehouse, Logistics, IT) to optimize space, utilities, and digital/physical operations
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract administration, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., safety, environmental, local government)
  • Champion a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous learning, and adherence to core company values
  • Supervise day-to-day facilities operations, including inspections, maintenance, repairs, and asset management
  • Ensure reliable utilities, environmental controls, and safe warehouse and production environments
  • Oversee training, performance management, and development of facilities staff and third-party service providers
  • Lead safety committees, drive corrective actions, and maintain compliance with occupational safety, fire, and environmental standards
  • Maintain security protocols for physical and digital assets, and support data privacy compliance
  • Prepare and manage annual operating plans, budgets, reports, and key performance metrics
  • Foster transparent communication and effective governance through regular meetings and reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Licensed Engineer preferred).
  • DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 2 (SO2) or 3 (SO3), with valid accreditation.
  • Over 15 years’ experience in Facilities/Building Management, including 5+ years managing workplace safety programs and 3+ years leading a Central Safety Committee.
  • Preferred experience in printing, publishing, or light-manufacturing environments, including warehouse operations; advantage for managing third-party service providers and construction/renovation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of property and building facilities operations, National Building Code, OSH Law (RA 11058, DOLE D.O. 198-18), Fire Code, hazardous waste regulations (RA 6969, DENR AO 2013-22), Clean Air Act (RA 8749), Clean Water Act (RA 9275), and Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) security requirements.
  • Skilled in OSH program development, project management, technical drawing analysis, use of CMMS/facilities management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001 standards (advantage).
  • Broad business understanding of construction management, vendor management, business registrations, advanced mechanical/building systems, print production, warehouse/distribution operations, and digital infrastructure (server rooms, power, cooling).

Additional Information:

  • Day shift, Monday-Friday (Compressed workweek)

  • The position is required to work 70% of the time in an office setup and the remaining 30% offsite to cover the assigned properties.
