Facilities Manager

We're recruiting a Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, contractor management and continuous improvement of a major distribution centre in Melbourne's western suburbs .

This is a highly autonomous role where you'll partner closely with site operations, oversee critical facilities services, manage maintenance and capital works activities, and ensure the site remains safe, compliant and operating at peak efficiency.

About the Role

As the Facilities Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all maintenance activities across the site. You'll work closely with site operations, contractors and technical teams to ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, efficient and operational at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Contractor engagement, compliance and performance management
• Budget management and cost control
• Asset lifecycle management
• Health, Safety and Environment compliance
• Site inspections, risk assessments and remedial actions
• Project management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Building strong relationships with operations, maintenance teams and external stakeholders

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who bring:

• Facilities Management, Maintenance Management or Technical Services experience
• Experience within industrial, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or large commercial environments
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills
• Budget and asset management experience
• A proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
• The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on site leadership
