Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the plant’s facilities, utilities, maintenance activities, and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient factory operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, facility improvement, cost control, regulatory compliance, and team management to support production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilities Management: Oversee plant facilities and utility systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Maintenance Management: Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize breakdowns and facility downtime.
• Project Management: Manage facility installation, modification, expansion, and improvement projects to meet operational requirements.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure facilities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Contractor Management: Coordinate contractors and suppliers for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility projects.
• Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and monitor facility maintenance budgets and identify opportunities to reduce utility and operating costs.
• Team Management: Supervise facilities engineers and technicians, assign work, and ensure maintenance activities are completed effectively.
• Reporting and Improvement: Monitor facility performance, maintain maintenance records, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferably 5–8 years of relevant experience in facilities management or plant maintenance, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Good knowledge of industrial utilities, facility maintenance, and engineering systems.
• Experience in contractor management, facility projects, budgeting, and safety compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or CMMS is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
