Facilities Manager

We're seeking a customer-focused Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated facilities management services across multiple sites within the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire region. This is a highly visible role where you'll build strong relationships with stakeholders, drive service excellence, and ensure compliance, operational performance, and customer satisfaction across a diverse estate.

This position involves regular travel throughout your designated region , with site visits forming a key part of the role. You'll be expected to maintain a visible presence across your portfolio, carrying out site audits, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage integrated FM services including planned and reactive maintenance, engineering services, cleaning, and associated soft services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted and visible partner across the estate.
• Conduct regular site audits and performance reviews to identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, policies, and safe systems of work.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to maintenance activities, compliance, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor service delivery against contractual KPIs, SLAs, and performance targets.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and cleaning teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, cost controls, and commercial objectives.
• Support service development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Act as the key point of contact across allocated sites and represent the FM service to stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for an experienced FM professional who can confidently manage multiple sites, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and drive operational excellence.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years' experience managing integrated Facilities Management services within a public sector or comparable environment.
• Strong understanding of both hard and soft FM service delivery.
• Experience managing technical infrastructure and building assets.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance requirements, and industry regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance against targets.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.

Desirable Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• IWFM membership.
• FM-related qualification or working towards IWFM Level 4 (or equivalent).
