Facilities Sanitation Technician

The Facilities Sanitation Tech is responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a verity of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant, and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior of buildings including carpet, rugs, windows, and walls.
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks, apply salt as needed.
• Loan compactors and auger machines for appropriate waste disposal.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of carious cleaning products and when to use them.
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
• Excellent time-management skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Applicants must be able to perform repetitive lifting and other physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
