Facilities Systems Engineer

Seeking a Facilities Life Safety Systems Engineer with a focus on fire detection, alarm, suppression, and emergency communication systems. Responsibilities Include

• Serving as the technical owner for life safety systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Reviewing vendor design drawings, specifications, and system configurations for accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and develop cost-effective system improvements.
• Supporting the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing operation of safety systems.
• Developing and maintaining engineering documentation, troubleshooting system issues, and leading reliability enhancements.

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, controls, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities life safety systems within an industrial environment.
• Expertise in fire detection, alarm, suppression, mass notification, and emergency communication systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, NFPA standards, IBC, IFC, and FM Global standards.
• Proficiency in reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, and control network layouts.
• Preferred 3+ years in the semiconductor industry and familiarity with smart building technologies.
• Credentials such as NICET Fire Alarm Systems (Level III/IV) or CFPS are valued.
• Strong understanding of system interoperability, integration with SCADA, BMS, and DCIM.
• Experience with engineering tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and platforms such as Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, or Johnson Controls.
• Interest or experience with agentic AI applications for engineering and operations.
