Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Facilities Technician / Building Maintenance Technician to join our property management team in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and technical support of residential and commercial properties, ensuring that building systems, equipment, and common areas remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

This is a hands-on position suitable for a technician who has experience in building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance, or MEP-related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of buildings, facilities, equipment, and common areas.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property management.
• Monitor air-conditioning and ventilation systems and report faults.
• Carry out basic electrical maintenance, including lighting, switches, sockets, and related equipment.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs, including leaks, fittings, valves, and sanitary fixtures.
• Inspect pumps, water systems, doors, locks, and other building equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialist repairs are required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and reported issues.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Keep tools, equipment, plant rooms, and maintenance areas clean and organized.
• Report major defects, safety concerns, and recurring equipment problems to management.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance, or a similar role.
• Practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out basic troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and respond to maintenance requests efficiently.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Previous experience working in residential or commercial properties is preferred.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
