Facilities Technician

Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and other machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Perform low voltage electrical work as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance manager and hotel staff to ensure timely completion of projects and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies.
• Guest room repair issues (caulking, tile repair, painting, plumbing, etc.)
• With GM/AGM, implement and manage hotel key control.
• Repair carpet and tile floor.
• Minor roof repairs, painting projects, and exterior projects.
• Pool/spa repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Part-time
