Facilities Technician

Role Description The Facilities Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and safe operation of the studio’s buildings, stages, and support areas. This role includes performing routine building maintenance, preventive equipment maintenance, and general repairs across the facility. The Facilities Technician will inspect and troubleshoot building systems, coordinate corrective actions, and respond to service requests from production and studio staff. Daily tasks may involve basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work, ensuring common areas, parking facilities, and production spaces remain clean, functional, and compliant with safety standards. The role works closely with the Facilities Management team to prioritize work orders, support studio operations during active productions, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to perform routine service and corrective repairs on building and stage equipment.
• Candidates should possess Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM) skills to support the ongoing upkeep, safety, and functionality of studio spaces and common areas.
• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues with building systems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems in commercial or industrial facilities is beneficial.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with facilities staff, production teams, and external vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in building trades or facilities maintenance is a plus.
