Facilities Technician (M&E)

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician (M&E) to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of building facilities and M&E systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repair and maintenance works to ensure equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance for M&E systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, investigate and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform general electrical works such as installation, cabling, conduits, electrical panels and cable termination where required.
• Support maintenance and repair of mechanical and building equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment faults and maintenance requests.
• Perform repair, replacement and rectification works as required.
• Ensure equipment is regularly maintained according to maintenance schedules.
• Provide technical support and assistance for maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe keeping of tools and equipment.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with safety and WSH procedures.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, M&E Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in facilities, building or M&E maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems will be an advantage.
• Relevant SEC/CoreTrade certification will be considered where applicable.
• Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Willing to perform shift work when required.
• Good safety mindset and WSH practices.
